Our annual June Big Beach Clean event encompasses World Ocean Day on 8th June. In 2021 we had over 70 brilliant community and family groups covering the coastline between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh over one weekend. In 2022 we built on this success and extended the clean up the coast to Aberdeen! In 2023 we increased the area again to cover Berwick-upon Tweed to Inverness and Gretna to Glasgow. This year we will building further from previous years and continuing round to Durness, and Gretna to Fort William, with the hope that by 2025 we can have the whole coastline being cleaned over one weekend.

To get involved we ask people to pick a spot on the coast they would like to tackle, then pop a pin in our map to show where you’ll be: 2024 Beach Clean Map.

To add your marker click on the pin icon underneath the search bar, and then click on the map where you will be. In the box that pops up you can add the location name and any details such as time and meeting place if other volunteers are welcome to join you.
